Usually that traces to something underneath: no Google Business Profile, or one set up years ago by someone no longer around. No way to tell where customers are coming from. A website nobody reaches, or none at all.

I’m Eric Lander. I’ve lived in Hampstead since 2017 and I run Topsail Guide. For more than 25 years I’ve worked on websites, analytics and search, helping organizations find, verify and organize information so people can actually reach it.
Topsail Guide exists because local information around here was scattered across a dozen town sites and Facebook groups. The directory is free for the same reason — a directory with holes in it isn’t useful to anybody, including the businesses in it.
Worth saying plainly: I run this site and I also sell the services above. None of them buy news coverage, editorial consideration, or a better position in anything we report. Those are kept separate deliberately and they stay that way. See our editorial standards.
Terms. All one-time purchases are non-refundable. The monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time with no notice period; months already billed are non-refundable. The Featured Listing covers twelve months from purchase and does not renew automatically. Payment is handled by PayPal. Nothing on this page guarantees a specific search ranking, a specific volume of traffic, or any particular business outcome, because nobody can honestly guarantee those.
