About the Management
The purchase or sale of a home is not only one of the largest transactions one will ever make, but it’s also one of the most personal.
A lifelong resident of SE North Carolina, I savor the uniqueness of our area. Growing up in Beulaville of Duplin County, I grew to love houses and homes.
Being from a small town, we had to “go to town”. We spent our summers on Topsail Island, cruising the Intracoastal at Wrightsville Beach, or fishing at Ft. Fisher. I fell in love with Wilmington then, later decided to go to the University of North Carolina – Wilmington, and basically never left!
After graduating from UNCW with a BA in Political Science, I taught high school social studies in Brunswick County living in Castle Hayne. Mama and I toured open houses and the Parade of Homes and planned weekends around new neighborhood tours. Friends often asked me to help decorate their homes. I cherished each time I helped make a house a home. Thus began my interior design career.
The old brick building in Hampstead became my retail shop and design studio before moving it to Wilmington. I loved the process of selling my home and searching for land and home plans to build in Rocky Point. The research skills I’d learned from my political science days were put to good use.
After receiving elementary education certification, I taught at Cape Fear Elementary School until moving to the town I’d seen grow from a little village to what has become the home of excellent schools, diverse shopping, water access, and much more – Hampstead. As I taught at North Topsail Elementary School, I continued to help friends design as well as research homes and neighborhoods when they were buying or selling.
Now as a real estate broker, I use my research skills to facilitate the search for a personal home to reflect my clients in selling their existing homes and to search for investment properties for my real estate investor clients, as well as my interior design expertise in staging and designing homes.
