As we enter the final month of the calendar year holiday spirits are picking up and local events have already begun.
If you’re going to be in or around Surf City this Saturday, December 3rd, be sure to check out the Greater Topsail Flotilla & Christmas Market.
Located at Soundside Park at 517 Roland Avenue [map], the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism sponsored event begins at 10 AM and wraps up at 7:30 PM with photo opportunities with Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus in the Park.
Between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM, visitors to the Christmas Market will have opportunities to shop for arts, crafts, and handmade items from vendors as well as enjoy several local performers in attendance. Beginning at 4 PM and running through 6:45 PM, local musicians Fryd on The Boat will be performing a concert that will lead into the Flotilla procession on the water where decorated boats will float through in a parade-style procession for visitors to enjoy.
If you’re able, the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is collecting new, unwrapped toy donations to be distributed to local families this holiday season. Toy donations will be accepted at the event.
