Overview
Holly Ridge is a town in Onslow County, North Carolina. Located west of North Topsail Beach and Topsail Island, and north of Hampstead and Surf City, Holly Ridge is comprised of an area of 4 square miles. A Town Council represents the area and had a population of 2,421 residents according to the 2019 Census.
Holly Ridge was incorporated as a town in 1999, but the area has a long history dating back to the early 1800s. The population of Holly Ridge has grown steadily over time and is now currently estimated to be around 3,000.
The Town of Holly Ridge is governed by a mayor and a board of commissioners which are elected by the residents of the town. The Town’s government is responsible for providing a range of services to the community, including police and fire protection, parks and recreation, and public works. Holly Ridge is also home to a number of schools, churches, and other community organizations – all of which play an important role in the life of the small town.
