Book your saltwater experience with Blue Heron Guide Service, providing inshore and nearshore fishing trips and eco-tour cruises. Blue Heron offers inshore charters targeting red drum, speckled trout, black drum, sheepshead, and flounder. When in season, we also target nearshore species such as Bonito, false albacore, king mackerel, and Spanish mackerel. Maybe fishing isn’t your thing and you’d rather just go for a relaxing cruise? We can do that too. Cruise the waters of Topsail Island, Lea Island, and Figure 8 Island taking in the sights and discussing the area’s rich history all while searching for dolphins, marine birds, rays, and maybe even a sea turtle or two. You will do this aboard a 23-foot center console bay boat that comfortably seats up to six passengers and has all the latest electronics. The choice is all yours.

About the Management
Captain Jim Hardy is a U.S. Coast Guard certified Captain. Like many other anglers, his passion began at an early age and grew into an obsession. After a career in law enforcement and a stint as a high school teacher, he was actually fortunate enough to turn his true passion into a career in the beautiful waters around Topsail Island. He loves teaching and sharing his passion with everyone who steps on his boat. From the novice to the most experienced angler Captain Jim always likes working as a team with his clients to provide the best possible experience for them.
