Topsail Island Surf School operates at Beach Access #18 behind Buddy's Crab House at 101 Roland Ave in Surf City. Private and group lessons run 1 hour 15 minutes, advanced coaching runs 1 hour, and lessons are offered daily at 9 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM and 4 PM. A four-day kids' summer camp runs 2.5 hours per day, and an after-school surf club meets bi-weekly. The school states all instructors are First Aid and CPR certified, and lessons include foam surfboards, leashes and water.
