Surf City Baptist Church operates publicly as The Gathering, a Christian congregation located one block from the beach on Topsail Island. The church holds four Sunday morning worship services (8:00, 9:30, 11:00 and 12:10) plus a Wednesday night gathering with dinner and a message. From April through September it also holds a 9:00 a.m. Sunday 'Gathering in the Sand' beach service at Surf City Beach Access #13. Ministries include Gathering Kids children's ministry, Voyager Youth, prayer and baptism.
