Salty Turtle is the brewery in Surf City, a veteran-owned nano-brewery and taproom at 103 Triton Lane with a beer garden out back.
Leashed dogs are welcome, which narrows the field considerably if you are trying to find somewhere to sit outside with one. Food trucks park here on Fridays and rotate, and there is trivia weekly at 7:30pm.
The taproom runs Monday to Thursday from noon to 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 11pm, and Sunday from 11am to 9pm. Call 910-803-2019 if you are checking on a holiday or a private event.
They have expanded past the original taproom, so if someone tells you to meet them at Salty Turtle, confirm which spot they mean.
