The Hampstead branch of the Pender County Public Library is at 75 Library Drive, just off Highway 17.
Check the days before you go. Current listings show it open Thursday and Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm, which is a shorter week than most people expect from a library. Call 910-259-1906 or check penderpubliclibrary.org before planning around a weekday.
Programming runs across four age bands: birth to five, six to twelve, teens and adults. Story times and summer reading are the ones families plan around. Meeting rooms are available too, useful if you run a small group and are tired of meeting in coffee shops.
A Pender County library card works across every branch in the system, so anything the Hampstead shelves do not carry can usually be requested from another branch and picked up here.
