The Breezeway has been on Channel Boulevard since 1949, run by the Cherry family, at the quiet south end of Topsail Beach. The dining room looks west over Topsail Sound, so for most of the season dinner and sunset arrive together.
The kitchen is straightforward coastal seafood. Fried, steamed or broiled, with she-crab soup, shrimp and grits, crab cakes, captain's platters and hushpuppies.
Several third-party listing sites currently have both of these wrong. It is dinner only, 5pm to 9pm, and it is closed on Tuesdays, not Monday through Wednesday as some aggregators claim. Those hours come from the restaurant's own Google Business Profile, updated by the business in August 2026. Call 910-328-4302 to confirm in the shoulder season.
The motel shares the property. Rooms include a kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave and balcony, and boat docking is available to motel guests and restaurant patrons.
